Protein
Protein is the building block of Muscle! You need it to build it and without it you could loose it! Protein is hugly important to your weight loss and muscle gaining endevour. Protein not only fills you up, which helps curb your "I'm hungry Monster," is also helps keep you full longer...
You may have a hard time getting enough protein in your diet, a protein powder may be just the thing you need to boost your intake. I start the day with what I call a
"Poor Mans Mocha."
I put a serving of protein in with my coffee...
Two birds one stone so to speak. It tastes great.
The second Recipe I would like to share is a Protein bar Recipe that my Wife Sarah found. We made them last night and they are great...
Here it is:
No bake Protein Bar
5 tbsp. Peanut Butter
1/2 cup dry oat meal
1/2 cup oat flour (Double the dry oats if no oat flour)
6 scoops Choc. Whey Protein powder
1 tsp. vanilla
2 tbsp. Flax seeds
1 c. nonfat dry milk
1/4 dried Berries or nuts
1/2 c. H2O (may need to add more)
Nutritional Info: 197 cal, 21 g pro, 7.2 g fat (8% sat), 13.7 g carb, 1.6g fiber
Spray 8x8 baking dish with non-stick cooking spray.
Combine dry ingredients in med. bowl and mix well.
Add peanut butter and mix- mixture will be crumbly and dry.
Add H2O + Vanilla
Use a wooden spoon or spatula, mix until dough forms. Dough will be sticky. Spread dough in pan using wooden spoon or spatula that has been sprayed with non-stick spray.
Refridgerate a few hours (or Freeze 1 hr.) and cut into 9 squares wrap bars individually ( use sandwich bags or plastic wrap) and store in covered container btween sheets of wax paper. KEEP REFRIDGERATED.
They're awesome and filling!
Thank you Sarah for Helping me with this one, You're the Greatest! Love you!
Enjoy your Protein and keep working hard
